I came across this in my uncle's office. Apparently my uncle, the math professor, wrote a note, commenting on the quality of the text, in a math book. When my grandfather found it, he thought it deserved a response.
What was funniest about this to me is that my uncle is a really good math teacher, he has a business where he sells a lot of textbooks, and the book was old-- it may have actually been a bad book or a smelly book. I wouldn't ever imagine him defacing a book, but what really made it was how my grandfather responded to it with more graffiti. He even dated it!
