Every day I pass Inage station. There is a sculpture of a woman with her arms extended up towards the sky, her head tilted to the side, like she is doing a morning stretch. I look for her, mostly because she has a friend who is always with her--a bird. I think it is the same bird everyday, sitting either in her hand or on her face.

Are you sure it's not also a sculpture of a bird? Or that the woman isn't a performance artist of some kind? It's Japan, after all...
Sometimes the bird is on her hand. Sometimes it's on her face. Then again maybe they move it around. Maybe it is a performance piece.
Whatever it is, I like that it's part of my daily routine.
um. I'm clearly a 13 year old boy. Cause I was like, "heh heh. sitting on her face...heh."
LOL. I'm usually equally as dirty and juvenile as you, but I didn't even think of that. Now that you've mentioned it, it's hilarious.
what would I do without you?
